The NNHVIP Founders Circle is a group of committed members and partners who will hire our first Executive Director and commit to making a one-time contribution of $10,000 or more.
Back in 2009, a small group of doctors, social workers, nurses and community-based service providers met and formed the National Network of Hospital-based Violence Intervention Programs (www.NNHVIP.org). Since then, our Network has come a long way, growing to 34 member programs, hundreds of individuals, and an annual conference drawing 350 professionals implementing our health approach to violence. But we can do so much more. Over the past year, our Steering Committee has engaged in a strategic planning process to map the vision of our future.
At this point in our history, , it is clear that our network must become an independent organization with a full-time Executive Director. We are already in the midst of securing a fiscal sponsor for an independent NNHVIP. Next, we will hire our first full-time Executive Director.
We are taking these steps in order to serve our mission to connect and support hospital-based, community-linked violence intervention and prevention programs and promote trauma-informed care for communities impacted by violence. We must take this step to achieve our vision that all patients and families impacted by violence receive equitable trauma-informed care through their hospital and within their community.
Now, in 2018, you are critical to this second founding of our network. We invite you to join our Founders Circle by contributing to our campaign to endow the NNHVIP Executive Director position and by having a seat on the NNHVIP Executive Director hiring committee. Your program/organization will also be permanently listed on NNHVIP’s website as part of our Founders Circle. Our Founders Circle campaign goal is $200,000 in pledges before September 30, 2018, when the Executive Director interview process will begin.

How can you join us? Pledge your one-time contribution:
- For current NNHVIP members, minimum pledge is $10,000. For most members that have made the commitment, these dollars are a combination of program funds and funds contributed on their program’s behalf.
- For foundations, corporations and other NNHVIP partners, the minimum pledge is $25,000.
Pledges must be received by September 30th. Payments do not have to be received until 3-8 months afterward.
