Healing Hurt People worker academy highlighted by Philadelphia Inquirer

The Philadelphia Inquirer has published an article about Healing Hurt People Philadelphia’s Community Health Worker Peer Training Academy, where young men with a lived experience of violence, participate in a training process to acquire skills so that they can go and work in other serving systems such as hospitals, schools, mental health programs; any place where we know there are many people experiencing violence and trauma, but the people providing support don’t come from the same backgrounds and lived experiences.
