Technical Assistance and Training Services

A key component of the National Network of Hospital-based Violence Intervention Programs mission is to help develop and support new and emerging hospital-based or hospital-linked violence intervention programs. In addition to the many free resources available to help establish and support programs, training and technical assistance are available for interested programs.

To find out if our services will meet your needs contact us to set up an informational phone session and fill out this online survey to help us to determine how best to assist you. If you are just starting out, we recommend reading Key Components of Hospital-based Violence Intervention Programs Handbook and purchase or download for free Violence is Preventable, a best practices guide.

Training and technical assistance includes but is not limited to:

  • one-time and ongoing trainings
  • pre-set training modules as well as tailored coaching and consultation
  • on-site training and off-site visits to established programs, including job-shadowing
  • trainings by phone or Skype
