A key component of the National Network of Hospital-based Violence Intervention Programs mission is to help develop and support new and emerging hospital-based or hospital-linked violence intervention programs. In addition to the many free resources available to help establish and support programs, we offer training and technical assistance for interested programs.
If you are just starting out, we recommend that you read the Key Components of Hospital-based Violence Intervention Programs Handbook and purchase or download for free the best-practices guide Violence is Preventable. Training and technical assistance includes but is not limited to:
- one-time and ongoing trainings
- pre-set training modules as well as tailored coaching and consultation
- on-site training and off-site visits to established programs, including job-shadowing
- trainings by phone or Skype
